Directed by debutant Sandeep Sawant, Starring: Arun Nalawade, Child Artist Ashwin Chitale, Sandeep Kulkarni, Amruta Subhash, Music by Bhaskar Chandavarkar, Shwaas won the National Award for best film in 2004. Synopsis: Vichare, an old villager brings his 8 years old grandson, Parshuram to a doctor in Mumbai to diagnose Parshuram&#8217;s eyes. On the first day, Vichare is asked to sign usual papers before admission in hospital. Upon asking, he learns that the papers say that the doctor would not be responsible if anything goes wrong. Vichare, the rustic grandfather finds these terms unacceptable. Parshuram is suffering through a critical problem. Dr. Sane finds that the only way to save Parshuram&#8217;s life is to perform an operation that will leave the child blind. Doctor insists that Parshuram should be informed about the surgery before the operation. The film then depicts Vichare&#8217;s struggle to accept the reality that the only way to save his grandson is at the cost of his eyesight. Will Parshuram&#8217;s grandfather be able to make Parshuram realize about the critical situation in which he will be after the loss.
